Foundation in Encounter-centered Couples Therapy (Day 1 & 2)

In this first half of a two-part training (first 5 sessions), we will be looking at how you can lay in a solid foundation with a couple:

• Creating a deep rapport with your couple and honouring their journey thus far.
• Guiding them into their deep longings where the energy for transformation lies.
• Teaching them about how to use the energy of conflict to build their relationship.
• How to resource their relationship and reconnect with themselves and each other in their Essence.

Through a blend of some of the innovative theory behind this approach and practical break-out times, you will expand your understanding and skills creating a new confidence and enjoyment in your work with your clients.

* Although this training is focused on couple work, many colleagues have been excited about the impact of their new skills on their individual work with clients.

The second part of the training (the last 5 sessions), ‘Using the foundation to adventure with your couple’, is a wonderful way to refresh and deepen your skills and confidence.

We will focus on helping the couple honour and own with compassion, their Survival Suits and the choices that they make by:

• Using the energy of conflict as a call to choose connection.
• Strengthening their awareness of choices they make.
• Exploring how you can welcome whatever unfolds with Theory U, Memory Reconsolidation and more.

The training has a maximum capacity of 10 people so that the experience is both intimate and expansive, and will be eligible for 40 CPD hours.
